President, William & Mary
President Rowe became William & Mary's 28th president on July 1, 2018 and was inaugurated on February 8, 2019. A recognized leader, teacher, scholar and entrepreneur, Rowe is a passionate advocate for the relevance of the liberal arts and their critical intersections with technology and research. She is deeply interested in design thinking, innovation within the liberal arts and the digital humanities. Her areas of research and scholarship include Shakespeare, Milton, Spenser, media history and Medieval and Renaissance drama. Prior to joining William & Mary, Rowe held a number of leadership positions in higher education. From 2014 to 2018, she was provost, dean of the faculty and Sophia Smith Professor of English Language & Literature at Smith College in Massachusetts. She also served as interim vice president for Inclusion, Diversity and Equity with a focus on campus engagement and inclusion.

Architect and AECO Technology Innovator
He has degrees in Engineering from Sweden and a Masters in Architecture from Savannah College of Art & Design. With over 20 years of experience he has applied Virtual Design, Construction & Operation methodologies on a wide variety of building typologies. He teaches at Pratt Institute in New York, where he is focusing on teaching Virtual Design, Construction and Operations methodologies with the intent to foster the next generation of AECO professionals. The focus is to teach the latest digital tools and leverage those to increase collaboration. He is the founder of FormD a next generation AECO startup and prior to that the director of Virtual Design, Construction & Operations at the LiRo group. Lennart has authored numerous BIM guidelines, specifications and implementation plans for agencies such as NYCDDC, MTACC & MTABT. He is the Vice President of the Revit User group of New York and has hosted several seminars covering topics involving advanced BIM modeling and application for design, construction and operations. He received the Autodesk Excellence award for BIM in 2017, Digital Edge 50 award in 2018 and the CIO 100 award in 2019. He is a member of IFMA’s Environmental Stewardship, Utilities & Sustainability committee. He has been a member of the Center of Architecture professional practice committee.
Joseph Bocchiaro | PM Keynote 3/12
PhD, CStd, CTS-D, CTS-I, ISF-C Principal Consultant
Joseph Bocchiaro has worked in the technology side of building design and systems integration for over 30 years, primarily with audiovisual/IT systems. As a Principal Consultant for Sextant Group / NV5 Engineering & Technology, a nationwide building technology consulting firm, he is privileged to work with clients such as architects and owners towards sophisticated building technology implementations. Joe has also worked as the VP of Standards and Industry Innovations for InfoComm International, the audiovisual trade association. His role there included projects in energy efficiency, sustainable events, and intelligent buildings, leading to ANSI and ISO Standards. As a Certified Standards Developer, Joe is aware of and is involved with the interconnected nature of building technologists, architects, engineers, and the construction industry. Joe holds degrees in Electro-Optical Engineering, Film Studies, Media Studies, and Educational Technology, and is an active global presenter and author. Joe is also a lecturer at Harvard University.
